What you’ll learn
- Answer a 'design a feature' question by naming the user and problem before any solution, then weighing trade-offs
- Choose a north star metric and two supporting metrics, and state what each one would miss
- Root-cause a metric drop by splitting it into segments and causes before proposing a fix
- Prioritise three or more options aloud using impact, effort and confidence, and defend the order
- Estimate a market size for a product aloud with stated assumptions and a sanity check
- Explain a trade-off decision in under ninety seconds with the options, the choice, the reason and what was given up
Skills you’ll practise
This course is for
Engineers, analysts and MBA students interviewing for APM, PM and senior PM jobs. For candidates facing product-sense and metrics rounds at Indian and global product companies, from APM programmes to senior PM roles. You learn to structure 'design a feature for X' around the user, the problem, solutions and trade-offs, choose metrics and a north star and say what they miss, root-cause a metric drop systematically, prioritise with a simple framework, estimate a market aloud, and explain a trade-off decision you made. The tutor plays a curious product leader who probes every answer. The capstone is two full product questions with live probing, scored against every outcome.
