What you’ll learn
- Respond to a harassment complaint with the right first sentences: safety, confidentiality, the Internal Committee process and a written next step
- Open and run a performance-improvement discussion with specific examples, a measurable plan and a date, without threatening or softening
- Confront a resume or document discrepancy calmly, verify before judging, and state the consequence clearly
- Diagnose attrition in a team using exit data and stay conversations, and present a two-part plan to a sceptical manager
- Explain an unpopular policy change to a room of unhappy employees, acknowledging the loss without apologising for the decision
- Negotiate an offer with a candidate within a band, using total compensation and a clear walk-away line
Skills you’ll practise
This course is for
MBA HR graduates, HR executives and aspiring HR business partners. HR interviews rarely ask you to define a policy. They put you in the room: an employee has just reported harassment, a candidate's degree is fake, a team is losing one person a month, or a candidate has a higher competing offer. This course drills six such conversations with the frames real HR professionals use, then puts you in front of an AI CHRO who plays the employee, the manager or the candidate and pushes back. You learn to acknowledge, state the process, commit to a next step, and never promise what you cannot deliver. Ends with a scored capstone of three scenarios with follow-ups.
level
You can hold a basic conversation but hesitate, translate in your head, or freeze under pressure. We fix that.
