What you’ll learn
- Open and close a work call with a clear agenda line and a next-step summary
- Give a status update in under sixty seconds using the done, doing, blocked structure
- Compose polite request, follow-up and apology emails aloud without 'do the needful' or 'please revert'
- Confirm understanding with 'so what you mean is' and catch misunderstandings before they cost time
- Disagree with a client or manager softly and offer an alternative in the same breath
- Escalate a delay or problem early, with facts, impact and a proposed fix
Skills you’ll practise
This course is for
Working professionals who speak with clients, vendors or managers in English. For professionals who already speak English but sound too blunt, too apologetic or too long on work calls and in emails. You learn to open and close a call cleanly, ask for and give crisp updates, dictate polite request, follow-up and apology emails aloud, confirm what you heard, disagree without sounding rude, and escalate a problem without panic. The tutor plays real clients and managers, busy and sometimes irritated, and fixes your tone line by line. The capstone is a live client call followed by the follow-up email you compose aloud.
level
You can hold a basic conversation but hesitate, translate in your head, or freeze under pressure. We fix that.
