What you’ll learn
- Open a client call with a purpose, a timed agenda and a check for additions in under a minute
- Give a status update that leads with the headline and states each risk with impact, mitigation and ask
- Decline out-of-scope requests politely while offering a change request or an alternative
- De-escalate a client angry about a delay by owning the facts, giving a recovery plan and a follow-up time without blaming anyone
- Negotiate a timeline using scope, people and sequence trade-offs instead of saying yes or no
- Close every call with a spoken summary of next steps, owners and dates, confirmed by the client
Skills you’ll practise
This course is for
Project coordinators, account managers, delivery and support leads. Client calls are where delivery people in Indian IT services, agencies and BPOs lose or win trust: a vague status update, a scope creep accepted out of politeness, a delay apology that sounds like blame. This course gives you a frame for each hard moment and an AI tutor who plays the client, from a friendly product owner to a furious senior stakeholder. You open with an agenda, report status with risks, decline out-of-scope work politely, handle anger about a delay, negotiate a timeline and close with next steps and owners. It ends with a full escalation call with a senior client.
