What you’ll learn
- State a three-point case on any motion in under ninety seconds, each point with a claim, a reason and an example
- Open a speech with a fact, a story or a question that makes the room look up within fifteen seconds
- Rebut an opponent's point by restating it fairly, conceding what is true and attacking the weak link, without personal remarks
- Support each claim with an Indian example, a reported figure framed honestly, or a comparison, and admit when you do not have a number
- Handle interruptions and hostile questions with a hold line, a direct answer and a return to your case
- Argue both sides of one motion in a full round and close each side with a memorable line
Skills you’ll practise
This course is for
College debaters, MBA and campus-placement candidates, bank and SSB aspirants. A debate is won by the side that is clearest, not loudest. This course teaches you to build a three-point case with a claim, a reason and an example each, open with impact, rebut an opponent without insulting them, back every claim with evidence, stay calm through interruptions and hostile questions, and end with a closing line the room remembers. The tutor plays your opponent, the moderator and a hostile audience member. It ends with a full debate round where you argue both sides of one motion.
level
You can hold a basic conversation but hesitate, translate in your head, or freeze under pressure. We fix that.
