What you’ll learn
- Say v and w as two distinct sounds in words like very, well, vegetable and water, in connected speech
- Produce both th sounds in think, thanks, this and that without turning them into t or d
- Keep z separate from j in zero, zoo, zone and Amazon, and keep short and long vowels apart in ship and sheep, full and fool
- Stress the correct syllable in common work words such as development, photography, comfortable and hotel
- Use sentence stress, linking and the reduced schwa in the, of, to and a so a spoken paragraph sounds natural, not word by word
- Read aloud and then freely retell a short paragraph with no more than two pronunciation slips a listener would notice
Skills you’ll practise
This course is for
Hindi-first speakers who are asked to repeat themselves. Hindi speakers are understood by other Indians but lose clarity on calls with clients, in interviews and in viva rounds because of a small set of carry-over habits: v and w swapped, th said as t or d, z said as j, short and long vowels mixed, and every syllable given equal weight. This course fixes them one at a time with minimal-pair drills and live roleplay in Indian work settings, then teaches word stress, sentence stress, linking and the schwa so your English flows instead of marching. It ends with a capstone where you read a paragraph and then speak it naturally without the text.
level
You can hold a basic conversation but hesitate, translate in your head, or freeze under pressure. We fix that.
