What you’ll learn

  • Produce a lighter English t and d in words like today, data, better and water without the heavy retroflex tap
  • Keep p, b, k and g clear with controlled breath so pin and bin, cot and got stay separate
  • Say yes, office, orange and only with the right vowel and no added y or n sound
  • Finish word-final consonants and pronounce -ed endings as t, d or id in worked, played and wanted
  • Place stress on the correct syllable and rise or fall at the end of a sentence so questions and statements sound different
  • Speak a paragraph at a listener-friendly pace with pauses at the right places and no more than two noticeable slips

This course is for

Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam first speakers. Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam speakers bring a specific set of habits into English: a heavy retroflex t and d, uneven breath on p, b, k and g, a y or n slipping into yes and office, swallowed word endings and -ed, stress pulled to the first syllable, flat intonation and a fast, pause-free pace. This course fixes each one with mouth-position drills and live roleplay in Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Kochi work settings, then mixes them. It ends with a capstone where you read a paragraph aloud and present it naturally, scored on every target.
