What you’ll learn

  • Describe your leadership style in one sentence and prove it with a ninety-second example that names a decision, a person and a result
  • Tell a story of changing your own decision, showing what new information you weighed and how you communicated the reversal
  • Explain how you managed a low performer with specific expectations, a timeline and an honest outcome, whether they improved or left
  • Show how you influenced a peer team or a senior without authority, naming the stakeholder, their objection and what moved them
  • Describe resolving a conflict between two reports without taking sides, including what you said to each and the working agreement after
  • Answer 'what would your team say about you' with two strengths, one honest criticism and the evidence behind each

This course is for

Team leads, first-time managers and senior ICs facing a VP or director round. The final round for any manager role is a VP or director asking how you actually lead: your style with an example, a time you changed your mind, a low performer, getting things done without authority, two reports who clashed, and what your team would say about you behind your back. Candidates lose this round with phrases like 'I am a people person' and stories full of 'we'. This course gives each question a spoken frame built on a decision, a person and a consequence, then puts you in front of an AI VP who keeps asking 'and then what happened'. Ends with a scored leadership round.
