What you’ll learn
- Give a five-sentence self-introduction in English covering name, school or college, hometown and hobby
- Talk about family and background in English with dignity, in two or three plain sentences
- Answer 'tell me about yourself' for an admission or scholarship interview in under a minute
- Switch between a Hindi question and an English answer, and the reverse, in front of a government job board
- Speak at a steady pace with pauses instead of fillers, without dropping to a whisper or switching to Hindi
Skills you’ll practise
This course is for
School and college students from Hindi-medium backgrounds. A gentle, repetition-heavy course for students who think in Hindi and have to introduce themselves in English: at a college admission, a scholarship interview, a government job board or simply the first day of class. You will learn to build English sentences from Hindi thoughts, talk about your school, hometown, hobby, family and background with dignity, handle both Hindi and English questions from a board, and control your pace and confidence. The capstone is a full introduction to a bilingual interview board.
