Sales & Product Manager Interview Preparation

Experienced sales, marketing, product and operations interviews (3–12 years)

Realistic hiring loops for people with three to twelve years of experience moving into or up within B2B and enterprise sales, FMCG and retail sales leadership, product management, and operations and supply chain. The hiring manager wants your numbers and your specific part in them; the role round makes you do pipeline, distributor ROI, product-metric and inventory arithmetic aloud.

Any private employer hiring experienced business talent — SaaS and IT-services firms (Zoho, Freshworks, Salesforce India, Microsoft, TCS, Infosys), FMCG and consumer companies (HUL, ITC, Nestlé India, Dabur, Marico, Britannia), consumer internet and product companies (Flipkart, Swiggy, Zomato, PhonePe, Razorpay, CRED), and manufacturing, logistics and retail firms (Tata Steel, Mahindra, Delhivery, Reliance Retail, DMart) 4 roles 3 languages 7 AI interviewers

What this interview looks like

Experienced business hiring in India usually runs a recruiter or HR screen on background, reason for change and compensation; a hiring-manager round that goes deep on one or two things you personally owned, with the numbers, the misses and what you changed; a role round led by a senior practitioner, which for sales is a deal or territory review and often a mock pitch, for product a case or a product-sense and metrics discussion, and for operations and supply chain a planning or costing scenario; and a behavioural or leadership round, sometimes with a skip-level or business head. Loops take two to four weeks and often include an assignment such as a territory plan, a product teardown or an S&OP case. ExamPilot compresses this into one 17-minute panel: an HR screen, a hiring-manager round on your real targets and launches, a role-specific technical round where quota math, distributor margins, funnel metrics and inventory turns must be right, a STAR behavioural round and a closing on expectations. Each round is scored on role knowledge, problem solving, communication and attitude, with feedback that names the number you fudged or the trade-off you missed.

How scoring works

A report you can act on

  1. Every round is scored on the rubric

Each interviewer scores only the criteria their round covers. Weights add up to your overall score out of 100.

  2. Only what you actually said counts

Feedback quotes your own answers. Rounds you skip show as “Not assessed” rather than a zero.

  3. Communication is always measured

Fluency, clarity, confidence and structure are tracked across the whole interview, in any language.

  4. Pass mark, then a plan

You see the pass mark for this interview, your gaps, and the courses that close them fastest.
