What this interview looks like
Data, AI and enterprise-platform hiring in India typically runs an HR or recruiter screen, a hiring-manager round on past projects, one or two technical rounds (a live SQL or case discussion for analytics, a modelling and systems discussion for ML, a configuration and scenario walkthrough for SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow and Dynamics), and a behavioural or fitment round, spread over one to three weeks. Many IT-services and GCC loops add a client interview before the offer. ExamPilot compresses this into one 17-minute panel: HR screen, hiring-manager round on what you actually built and the business result, a role-specific technical round led by a lead or principal, a STAR behavioural round and a closing on expectations. Rounds are pass/fail in real companies; here every round is scored on role knowledge, problem solving, communication and attitude, with specific feedback on the trade-offs you did and did not mention.
How it is weighted
Pass/fail per round in real life; in IT services the client interview after the internal technical round is frequently the final gate. Here each round is scored against the corporate rubric (role knowledge 30, problem solving 25, communication 25, attitude 20).
Who this is for
SAP functional consultants (FICO, MM, SD), Salesforce developers and admins, ServiceNow developers and Power Platform or Dynamics 365 developers interviewing at IT services and consulting firms, implementation partners and end-client IT teams. Loops typically include a technical scenario round, often a client or project-manager interview, and sometimes a short case or configuration demo.
The panel focuses on
- End-to-end process flows and the configuration behind them
- Declarative versus code: knowing when to script and when not to
- Governor limits, order of execution and other platform gotchas
- Handling a production ticket from a business user under time pressure
- Implementation lifecycle: requirements, fit-gap, testing, cutover, support
- STAR answers on a difficult client and a go-live that went wrong

What to expect
5 rounds · 17 minutes
A private-sector hiring loop compressed into one sitting, the way most Indian companies run it: HR screen → hiring-manager round on your actual work → role/technical round led by a lead → communication & behavioural (STAR) round → closing on expectations and your questions. Works for software, product, sales, finance, HR, support and campus hiring by swapping the role bank.

Data, AI & enterprise Enterprise platforms interview questions
Questions panels commonly ask in the Data, AI & enterprise Enterprise platforms interview, with what a strong answer covers. Practise them aloud with the AI panel.
- SAP process
For an SAP FICO consultant: trace a purchase from requisition to vendor payment, and point out each place where MM postings flow into FI.
What a strong answer covers
Cover purchase requisition, purchase order, goods receipt with automatic GR/IR posting, invoice verification and payment run, explaining account determination and the GR/IR clearing account. Mention GST handling in India. Avoid listing transaction codes without explaining the flow.
- Declarative vs code
For a Salesforce developer: when would you use a Flow instead of an Apex trigger, and when is code the right choice?
What a strong answer covers
Prefer declarative Flows for straightforward automation that admins can maintain, and use Apex for complex logic, bulk processing, integrations or performance needs. Mention governor limits, order of execution and testing. Avoid using code for everything or Flows for heavy logic.
- Governor limits
Your Apex trigger works for one record but fails when a user uploads two thousand records through Data Loader. Why?
What a strong answer covers
Explain governor limits on SOQL queries and DML statements per transaction, and how non-bulkified code with queries inside loops breaks. Fix with collections, maps and a trigger handler pattern. Avoid suggesting the user load fewer records as the fix.
- ServiceNow
For a ServiceNow developer: how would you automate the assignment of incidents to the right support group?
What a strong answer covers
Use assignment rules or data lookup, categorisation, and business rules or Flow Designer where needed, with clear criteria and testing. Mention avoiding hard-coded values and maintaining it. Avoid writing heavy scripts where configuration is enough.
- Production support
A business user raises a priority-one ticket: invoices are not posting since this morning, and month-end closes tomorrow. What do you do?
What a strong answer covers
Acknowledge quickly, gather error details, check recent changes and logs, find a workaround to unblock, communicate status regularly, and do a root-cause analysis after. Avoid working silently or making untested changes in production.
- Implementation lifecycle
Explain the phases of an implementation project from requirements to hypercare, and what usually goes wrong at each stage.
What a strong answer covers
Cover discovery and requirements, fit-gap analysis, design and build, testing including UAT, data migration, cutover and hypercare, with a common pitfall at each such as unclear requirements or poor data quality. Avoid listing phases without lessons.
- Power Platform
For a Power Platform developer: how would you build an approval app for travel requests in a company that uses Microsoft 365?
What a strong answer covers
Use a Power Apps form with Dataverse or SharePoint, Power Automate approval flows, role-based access and notifications in Teams or Outlook. Mention governance and environment strategy. Avoid hard-coding approvers or ignoring security roles.
- Go-live
Describe a go-live that went wrong. What did you learn?
What a strong answer covers
A STAR answer covering the context, what failed such as data migration or integration, how the team responded, the outcome and lessons applied to later projects. Avoid blaming the client or another vendor entirely.
- Client management
A client keeps changing requirements during UAT. How do you manage it?
What a strong answer covers
Acknowledge the requests, log each one, assess impact on effort, testing and go-live, and route them through the agreed change-request process so the client chooses what goes in now versus a later release. Keep sponsors informed. Avoid silently absorbing every change and then missing the cutover date.

How scoring works
A report you can act on
Every round is scored on the rubric
Each interviewer scores only the criteria their round covers. Weights add up to your overall score out of 100.
Only what you actually said counts
Feedback quotes your own answers. Rounds you skip show as “Not assessed” rather than a zero.
Communication is always measured
Fluency, clarity, confidence and structure are tracked across the whole interview, in any language.
